A hiker shared a photo of a lost dog on Facebook. The dog was on a remote mountain and it needed help badly.

Sean McCormack, the proud founder of Animal Care Trust, a group that helps strays and other animals, saw the article and offered to help.

The hike to get to the dog would take six hours. So Sean called Ross Tweedie, the proprietor of Taiwan Adventures, a business that offers outdoor adventures, for assistance.

Many people who saw the post doubted that the dog could be saved. There was no way to get up there, and only pros could climb for six hours.

Sean and Ross met at 3 a.m. to start the hike. It was difficult because Sean rarely did it. But for Ross, it was easy.

They had no idea if the dog was still alive when they got there or what condition the dog was already in. They were thinking of ways to aid the dog while they were on their hike.

After a few hours, they found the area where the dog was spotted. However, the dog wasn’t there, so Sean and Ross looked for him until they found him.

They cautiously approached the injured dog. The dog was trapped on the mountain because he had no paws on his front legs.

Sean reassured the dog that he was safe. Surprisingly, the dog emerged from where he was hiding and sat on Sean’s lap.

The dog was feeble and in discomfort. It allowed Sean and Ross to treat some of its wounds when Sean offered it some water.

Sean had a lot of fears but those didn’t matter at that time. They definitely had to get the poor dog back down to where help was waiting for it. They put the dog in a bag with his head poking out. Then, the due quickly hiked back to town.

The dog was named Sandy by its saviors, Sean and Ross. They were actually quite that surprised at how well the dog behaved the whole way down.

Sean decided to simply take the dog home with him when they arrived at the foot of the mountain. He quickly took the dog to the vet to get it the medical help it needed.

Sean got a message from a man known as Bob one day. He was told Bob had seen the video of Sean saving Sandy. The man invited Sean to his restaurant to discuss the dog.

Bob was curious about Sandy’s rescue. Sean told the story and it moved Bob that he decided to foster the dog.

After a few short days, Bob called the shelter where Sandy was to officially adopt him. Sandy was the excellent choice for Bob and his family, and Bob became Sandy’s new fur dad.
