Loreta and Eldad, Hope For Paws Animal Rescue’s lead rescuers, received a call about an abandoned Poodle that needed help. They had no time to waste so they headed out to the site right away. And while they spotted the pup as soon as they were on site, it immediately disappeared into thin air.

The rescue partners almost believed they’ve completely lost the dog. Thankfully, concerned neighbors saw the pup and pointed them at the right direction. They followed him until he walked into someone’s yard.

Ceci, the woman who called, helped Eldad and Loreta seal the area to keep the dog from running away. She also stood guard as the rescuers approached and walked toward the dog. She’s watched a lot of Hope For Paws rescue videos and she knew she’d be able to help simply by staying on guard.

The Poodle tried to make a run for it but Loreta blocked his way so he retreated. He searched for other escape routes but he soon realized he was cornered. He warned the rescuers and barked at them but he was a such a good boy that he sat down when Eldad commanded him to.

The trees and pipes in the yard made it difficult for Eldad to come closer to the dog. He also had trouble placing the gentle snare on the pup so he asked Loreta for help. After several and different attempts, they were finally able to secure the dog.

The rescuers didn’t want to stress the dog any further so they waited for him to relax. Within a few seconds, Loreta was able to touch him. She gave him gentle pats on the head and decided to call him Paddington.

The duo encouraged Paddington to walk with them toward the car but the dog did not move at all. He still wasn’t sure what they wanted. But as soon as they looped the Lucky Leash on him, he stood up and voluntarily walked to the Hope For Paws rescue vehicle. He knew he was safe.

Paddington received the medical care he needed and then continued to his foster home, where he met lots of new friends. He thrived and soon enough, he found his new home.
