Georgia’s Royal Animal Refuge recently took to Facebook to tell the story of nine-month-old Toothless, who landed under their care after being picked up by animal control. But despite his stature, they couldn’t dare refuse him because they immediately stole their hearts.
Before he was turned over under their care, somebody inhumanely pulled out all of his teeth. In a report by FOX 5, the previous owner may have pulled out the puppy’s teeth because he would be used in a dogfighting ring as bait. And sadly, this was not the only abuse he endured before arriving at Royal Animal Refuge. He was also diagnosed with parvo, so they brought him to the vet for immediate medical attention.
Animal lovers everywhere responded promptly to Toothless’s sad story and sent their love and donations for him. This support enabled him to quickly recover from the abuse and neglect before arriving at Royal Animal Refuge.
The Georgia-based rescue center was quick to express its gratitude for all the support for Toothless. They said they were speechless and overwhelmed with the attention that everyone had given the puppy. They were happy to announce that he was doing well and scheduled for discharge very soon.
And recently, the Royal Animal Refuge posted through Facebook that Toothless has finally moved into a foster home! They also shared several snapshots of someone holding the little fighter. They told everyone he was doing great, and they were grateful for the foster family who stepped up to take him under their care.
The facility thanked everyone again for their donations and effort in spreading awareness for lovable dogs like him. They said it wouldn’t have been possible without all the animal lovers out there.
