Cleo, a rescued dog, has participated in more than 30 adoption events in the past six years. Unfortunately, adopters have continued to overlook her.

At this point, the cute dog has become an expert at meeting new people. However, this does not lessen her disappointment whenever an event concludes and she still does not have a permanent home.

Cleo’s foster mother, Vicky Ham, revealed that the dog weighs about 80 pounds and is deaf, which is why prospective adopters typically ignore her. Cleo receives several accolades during adoption events, but that is all she receives.

As a tiny puppy in 2016, Cleo was rescued from a catastrophic flood. Ham originally failed to recognize that she had a hearing problem when he took her home as a foster child. This is because Cleo has never allowed her deafness to hinder her progress.

According to Ham, the only difference between Cleo and a hearing dog is that you must gaze at Cleo when giving her a sign or instruction. According to her, the rescue dog responds to hand signals, flashing lights, and facial and body motions.

Cleo believed she had discovered her eternal family on two separate occasions. The families, however, returned her to the shelter after only a few months.

Ham noted that Cleo is warm, considerate, and active. The dog enjoys being outdoors and enjoys hikes and car excursions. She always brings along a toy. She would also attempt to convince guests to play with her at their home.

Ham remarked that it is hard to see Cleo being missed during adoption activities. She has provided the best care possible for the dog and is aware that it deserves a permanent home. Cleo should be adopted by a family who does not consider her deafness as an impediment.

According to Ham, the rescue dog is not afraid of loud noises or fireworks. Ham hopes that by the next Fourth of July celebration, Cleo will have found her forever family and they will watch the fireworks together. It would be fantastic, as Cleo would not be frightened by the loud noises.
