Oli is a professional cyclist who had no prior experience with dogs. However, when he meets Balu, he feels an instant connection with him and knows that Balu is the perfect dog for him. They share a special bond and are now the best of friends.
Balu is always off the leash and can do as he pleases. His favorite thing to do is to travel with his dad, but he also enjoys spending most of his time in the mountains with Oli. When they hit the road, Balu took the lead and stayed about 10 meters ahead of Oli. Oli follows him and drives at a speed Balu can keep up with. If the road is rough, Oli gives Balu special running shoes for dogs.
Balu and Oli cherish their freedom and love being close to nature. Even at home, they spend most of their time outdoors. In the past, Oli used to travel alone throughout Europe, but now, Balu is his constant companion. They travel around Europe in Oli’s mobile home, with Balu as his co-driver. They sleep together in the house, and after waking up, they make breakfast and go for a ride.
Their first trial together was a memorable experience for both of them. Oli was thrilled that Balu enjoyed it; that was the best thing he had seen. When they’re not on the road, they live with Oli’s family on a farm on the outskirts of town. Balu is an integral part of the family and loves being around them. He knows he has found his forever home with them.
