For years now, terrorism has continuously haunted millions of people all over the world. Thousands of lives were lost, properties were wiped out, and several places were destroyed. But then, there are still courageous men and women who are willing to risk their own lives to maintain peace and security.
These brave soldiers also acknowledge the truth that they could not succeed in their battles all by themselves. They need help from other fearless creatures – dogs! It is no longer surprising that in all the wars and conflicts that these military people have gone through, they also have excellent military dogs by their side.
Conan’s story is another fantastic tale of heroism and will power. Conan is a dauntless dog of the Belgian Malinois breed. Research shows that dogs of this breed are sharp-witted, vigorous, and abiding. So it is already anticipated that Conan can manifest those remarkable behaviors. Aside from the qualities mentioned above, Belgian Malinoises are also known to have the ability to establish a strong bond with their humans.
Because of the great qualities that Conan has, she was chosen by her handler to train for the military. She was able to survive the rigorous military training and has invested a lot of time to master her skills. Seeing that Conan already has what it takes to become a full-fledged military dog, her handler brought her to the warzone in Syria.
While in Syria, Conan helped track down a high profile terrorist named al-Baghdadi. The said terrorist tried to abduct three kids then ran away in an attempt to escape. When he realized that he came into a dead-end, al-Baghdadi blew up a grenade. Sensing terrible danger, Conan ran towards al-Baghdadi’s direction and tried to save the kids.
Unfortunately, al-Baghdadi was too fast in detonating the bomb; hence, Conan was not able to save the kids. This tragic incident cost the lives of the three young children and al-Baghdadi. The brave dog got hurt and received immediate medical treatment.
The US government lead by President Trump made sure that Conan’s heroism is recognized. At first, the military refused to divulge the dog’s name, but Trump would not stop until he knows what it is. Eventually, the military agreed to name the heroic dog, and they also attended a recognition ceremony held at The White House.
