Dogs are naturally curious animals. Due to this curiosity, some dogs end up getting into trouble. This English Setter later identified as Soup is no stranger to getting into trouble because of his inquisitiveness.

The pooch lives with his family in Montgomery, Alabama. A few days before New Year, though, Soup’s curiosity led him to chase a deer in an abandoned woods. Since the door also ran for his life, Soup ended up getting lost in the woods.

For three days, Soup’s family looked for him around the vicinity, but all their efforts did not yield good results. There were already bad thoughts forming in their minds, but little did they know that Soup is in excellent condition.

The dog was found by Charles Brooks, an employee at the Kilby Correctional Facility. Brooks said that he saw the pooch sleeping beside a vehicle. The dog looked anxious and afraid, Brooks shared.

Brooks then offered the pooch with a cup of water and a biscuit, which Soup gladly took. The dog seemed hungry that’s why Brooks gave Soup another set of food. During his stay with the facility, Soup experienced the hospitality of his new set of friends.

Aside from Brooks, Soup also met with other staff of the facility. The people found it easy to build a rapport with the pooch because Soup is very friendly. It was then during this time that Brooks and other workers of the facility looked for the owners of the pooch.

When Brooks learned that a couple in Alabama named Leigh Parker and Michael Parker were looking for their lost dog, he immediately kept in touch with them. The couple and Brooks exchanged correspondences to make sure that Soup was indeed the lost pooch.

The couple went to the prison to meet with Brooks. Brooks brought Soup with him, and as soon as the dog recognized his fur parents, he immediately ran towards their direction. This proves that the couple is Soup’s owner.

Soup Parker has been found!! He has been at Kilby Prison being feed and cares for by warden and prisoners. He is now home and happy!!
