Residents of a neighborhood in L.A. spotted a stray dog that repeatedly went back inside an overgrown yard. They worried that the thick, insect-infested shrubs, as well as the different debris left in the area, would cause harm to the dog. To keep it from getting hurt, they took action and reached out to the local animal rescue group Hope For Paws.

Two of the group’s lead rescuers, Loreta and Eldad, went to the dog’s location immediately. Seeing a narrow pathway beside the garden, they decided to cut off the animal from both sides to avoid any chance of escape. Eldad set up nets and portable plastic fencing on one side while Loreta did the same on the other end.

When the rescuers approached, the dog quickly retreated into the bush. Eldad advanced from one side and tried coaxing the animal toward his rescue partner. Loreta, meanwhile, readied a net to catch the dog in case it ran by her.

Trying to avoid capture, the dog sought refuge under a thick shrub. It tried so hard not to get caught, but with a gentle snare on hand, Loreta expertly looped the dog in. The rescuer, however, decided not to force the dog out of its hiding spot to keep it from stressing any further.

Loreta jumped over into the yard and cautiously closed in on the dog. She talked to it with her sweet voice to gain its trust. Even with spiders crawling over her, she continued her job until she successfully put a Lucky Leash on the dog and lifted it out of the brush.

Eldad helped both Loreta and the dog, now named Spiderman, out of the yard. The rescuers thanked the Good Samaritans who contacted them and drove Spiderman straight to CARES, a local animal care facility. There, Spiderman received a clean bill of health and a much-needed bath to get rid of the dirt and insects on his fur.

Foster care group Foxy and the Hounds took care of Spiderman as he waited for his forever home. After a short while, he found his new fur parents and joined them in their lovely home. After living among spiders, Spiderman now lives happily with his forever family.
