Dogs are creatures that are the easiest to fall in love with. Most of them are very sweet and gentle, and they can be extra affectionate too. Just one look from their soulful eyes, and you can easily fall for their charms.
This is what probably happened with a Filipino college dean and a stray dog that followed him to school.
Fell in love
Their story started when a dean from the Colegio De San Lorenzo in Quezon City, Philippines, noticed a dog walking behind him after he parked his car. He stopped for a moment and played with the homeless canine. After a few seconds, he went into the school building to work. When he was going home that day, he saw the same dog walking around, and the sweet pooch came up to him again.
For the next several days, the dog would follow him around every time he arrived for work. The dean then started falling in love with the sweet pooch.
The dean eventually talked about his encounter with his colleagues, and he jokingly said that since the dog was around all the time, they should issue him a school ID.
They all agreed.
A huge family
The school dean named the dog Enzo, after the patron saint of the school. This was the name that they put on his ID. Giving him that identification card symbolized the beginning of his new life.
Enzo was no longer a stray dog. He has officially become a part of the school. Everyone on the campus was now his family. All of them care for him and gives him something to eat.
Enzo is not just their mascot, he also works for his keep. He joins the security guards at night and roams the school grounds.
When they are finished, he goes to rest on a special place they have allotted for him. He no longer has to actually sleep on the streets. Enzo has a comfortable and safe place to stay now.
