January 2022 rolled in with a scruffy dog showing up on the Haden family porch. The male dog was shaking and covered in snow, and he looked like an embattled soul who has gone solo for a while now.
He sat on a chair and made himself comfortable. The family’s little daughter soon saw the dog and promptly told her mom that they have a dog sitting on their porch chair.
Since this family has two dogs, housewife Amy Haden didn’t think much of it. That’s until her daughter said that the dog she was referring to wasn’t theirs.
Amy then realized that the dog must be a stray. She felt bad for him and decided to bring him inside to warm up. She gave him some food and water, and he devoured it all.
Amy then took to social media to find the dog’s owners, but she came up with nothing. She asked her TikTok audience to name the dog, and they named him Walker.
Amy’s next move was to bring the dog to the vet, and there she discovered there was no chip on him. Amy also found out that Walker is a Shepherd Cur mix. He was roughly one or two years old then.
Amy took to social media again to try and find Walker’s owner, but she still couldn’t find them. After a month of doing so, she realized she needed to think of a way to find Walker his home.
The dog didn’t do well with other animals, so he needed to find someone who doesn’t have pets. Fortunately, Amy found a sweet old lady who was willing to adopt Walker.
Walker quickly became a much-loved dog, and Amy was happy that she was able to find him a home. All these because Walker invited himself to Amy’s porch chair!
