Freak accidents on the road are inevitable. Most of the time, due to reckless driving, many people get into accidents. But if there is one creature who often survive car accidents, it would be dogs. It could be part of dogs’ nature that they know a bad thing will happen, so they immediately protect themselves.

Howlett’s Office released a photo of him helping the pooch. In the picture, it can be seen that Howlett gave the dog his jacket while they waited for reinforcements to arrive and help them. According to the Facebook post, it was the officer’s way of telling the pooch she was not alone.

As soon as the photo was shared online, it generated different reactions from netizens. Most of the comments lauded the officer for showing compassion towards the dog. Other people said that it is rare for a police officer to act that way. It is because police officers are often seen as tough individuals.

But Howlett proved it otherwise because, according to him, police officers are also capable of showing love. After he rescued the pooch, Howlett and his team brought the pooch to a nearby clinic to be checked. He said the dog is currently recovering from her injuries.

During times that there seems to be negative press towards law enforcement this shows a bit of compassion on the part…
